30th ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION DENIM ARCHIVE

FIRST ARROW’S 30th Anniversary Special Denim

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of FIRST ARROW’S, we created the 301XX Special Model using JELADO’s renowned “LASTRESORT Black Tag” denim.
This exceptional piece was born through a triple collaboration between FIRST ARROW’S, premium denim brand JELADO, and RE-BUILT, a workshop highly respected for its dedication to authentic reproduction craftsmanship.
Designed around the theme of FIRST ARROW’S 30th anniversary, this model takes inspiration from 1930s denim and carefully references a vintage 1937 model owned by JELADO.
The result is a meticulously crafted special edition, limited to only 100 pieces.

Design & Silhouette
The inspiration behind this model comes from an era when many American denim manufacturers designed garments specifically for cowboys.
Reflecting both the practicality and rugged aesthetics of that time, this denim features a distinctly classic silhouette.
A deep rise provides a secure, comfortable fit, while the slightly bow-legged silhouette naturally follows the body.
From the knee down, the straight leg line was designed to pair effortlessly with boots.
The rear pockets are positioned slightly outward in a “V-shaped” arrangement, inspired by functional designs that reduced interference while riding horseback.

Vintage Details
Faithful to 1930s craftsmanship, this model features a traditional buckle-back waist, allowing the fit to be adjusted over time as the denim naturally softens and conforms to the wearer.
Additional vintage-inspired details reference JELADO’s original 1937 denim, including:
* Front fly lock stitching using two different thread colors
* Raw-cut fly facing construction
* Slightly asymmetrical belt loop lengths
* Subtle irregularities that reflect the individuality of pre-war garments
These elements preserve the authenticity and character found in true vintage denim.

Fabric
The denim fabric used is JELADO’s signature “LASTRESORT Black Tag.”
Created through the analysis of dismantled deadstock vintage denim, every detail—from cotton fiber length and twist to yarn count—was carefully refined.
To recreate the nep texture unique to early denim, selected cotton was blended to produce a naturally uneven yarn.
The warp yarn is rope-dyed eight times in indigo vats, producing a rich and deep indigo tone.
Meanwhile, the weft yarn remains in its natural unprocessed ecru color, creating subtle depth and a calm texture on both the surface and reverse side of the fabric.
Woven on a TOYODA G3 shuttle loom still operating since the 1950s, the result is a RAW denim fabric with rich color, texture, and natural flexibility.

Sewing & Craftsmanship
Production was entrusted to RE-BUILT, known for highly regarded reproduction work.
Rather than following conventional mass-production methods, each pair is individually crafted through a ONE MAN production process, where cutting, sewing, and finishing are completed by a single craftsman.
This approach prioritizes not only historical accuracy in detail, but also authentic silhouette, comfort, and overall character.

Sewing Machine & Finishing
At the workshop, the primary sewing machine used is the SINGER 31-20 foot-powered machine, often referred to as a “Tailor’s Machine.”
Originally used in custom tailoring workshops from the early 20th century, this machine creates stable and controlled stitching.
Its foot-powered precision allows each stitch to be placed naturally and accurately, especially in complex areas such as pocket corners and alignment points.
This contributes to the soft, organic finish that defines the craftsmanship of this denim.

Aging
The sewing thread is natural ecru yarn, hand-dyed in the workshop using natural dyes.
Because these dyes fade more naturally than conventional chemical dyes, the stitching ages together with the denim itself.
As the indigo fades over time, the thread also softens in tone, creating a balanced and beautifully natural aging process.
A symbolic piece created to commemorate the 30th anniversary of FIRST ARROW’S.
A limited-edition 301XX denim, defined by craftsmanship, heritage, and timeless authenticity.

※Due to the very slim silhouette of the 37 model, we recommend choosing 1–2 sizes up from your usual denim size.
※ Considering the possibility of damage to the silver hardware, we do not recommend using a dryer. However, if you do use a dryer, please turn the denim inside out before drying (dryer use is not recommended). In this case, we recommend choosing 2 sizes up. If you do not use a dryer, we recommend choosing 1–2 sizes up.
